The United States continues to be the country most affected by the new coronavirus pandemic. The number of infections already reaches almost 11 million, while, so far, more than 245 thousand people have lost their lives.

One of the most striking symptoms of this virus, beyond respiratory discomfort, is loss of the senses of taste and smell as happened to Russell Donnelly, a 30-year-old man who decided to share his experience on TikTok.

Donnelly, from New Jersey, began to notice that he had gradually lost both senses, which made him suspect that he might possibly be infected and, although A quick test showed he had the virus, his friends couldn’t believe it.

For this reason the man decided to join the TikTok trend ‘covid taste test’, a challenge that consists of trying different foods to verify that there are alterations in taste.

Then the young man bit the raw onion, He had a small glass of lemon juice and lastly, a tablespoon of garlic paste. After ingesting them, Donelly showed no reaction, it was as if he were eating any other food.
