They rescue miners trapped in Bolívar mine

The entity reported that after 4 hours of work, the specialists managed to remove the workers from an underground gold mine in the south of the department.

The work of the agencies, which arrived by air, allowed everyone to get out alive and that is why he described as “successful” the rescue that took place in the village of Pueblito Mejía, in the municipality of Barranco de Loba.

Around 2:00 in the afternoon the incident had become known, and around 5:40 in the afternoon of this Wednesday the rescuers managed to remove the material 180 meters underground and took the miners to the surface.

During the operation, added Blu Radio, “the miners were supplied with air through a hose” and, once the “complicated extraction process” was completed, they were transferred to different healthcare centers to be evaluated by specialists.

According to the National Mining Agency, other miners in the area, the Civil Defense, the National Army and the mayors of Barranco de Loba and San Martín collaborated in the operation.
