21 deaths and 801 new cases this Tuesday

In Valle del Cauca, 21 more citizens died from covid-19 and 801 contracted the disease, the Ministry of Health confirmed this Tuesday.

In this way, the department reached 127,509 cases of coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic, last March.

The deaths correspond to patients from Cali (9), Palmira (4), Buga, Bolívar, Tuluá, La Cumbre, Bugalagrande, Alcalá and Buenaventura (1).

At the national level, 12,526 new cases were reported, bringing the total to 1,530,593.

Of these, 91,129 remain active, while 1,394,374 outgrew the virus.

Throughout the country, 251 deaths were reported, so there are already 40,931 deaths due to the disease.

The National Institute of Health, INS, clarified that 219 of the reported deaths occurred in previous days.

On the other hand, he pointed out that 61,710 tests for the detection of the virus were processed this Tuesday.
