At the request of the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, the 22nd Municipal Criminal Court of Medellín, with functions of guarantee control, imposed an assurance measure in a prison against 10 alleged members of the criminal structure ‘Los Juaquinillos’.

According to the investigation carried out by a specialized prosecutor in Medellín, the criminal group ‘Los Juaquinillos’ engaged in extortion, forced displacement, selective homicides and drug trafficking in the Belén Rincón neighborhood of Medellín.

One of the complaints filed by one of the victims indicated that, in July 2017, in the early hours of the morning, several men who apparently were part of the criminal structure had forcibly entered the residence of the man whom they allegedly demanded. the sum of $ 50,000 a week to allow him to work in his food business.

The merchant managed to flee the place and could not return to the sector.

In addition, the investigations carried out by members of the Unified Action Group for Personal Freedom, Gaula, of the National Police, ‘Los Juaquinillos’ would be in charge of collecting extortions from the chiveros and merchants of Belén Rincón, who had to pay $ 15,000 weekly.

They would also be charging the so-called surveillance to the inhabitants of the area, in several cases these collections were made in the company of minors.

To D. Sánchez Gómez, aka ‘Moncky’, is being investigated for being allegedly responsible for the armed attack suffered by two National Police patrols, events that occurred on February 9, 2020 in the La Loma del Ñeñe sector of the Belén Rincón neighborhood.
