In attitude to the heat of the moment, a 19-year-old young man reacted to a robbery and escaped the robbery by throwing the cell phone he was holding in his hands at the doors of a condominium. Everything was detected by local security cameras.
The attempted robbery took place on Avenida Dom Pedro, in the Enseada neighborhood, in Guarujá. Auditor Lucas Brasil de Souza Lima says it was around 1 pm when he was just waiting for a car to go to the beach. Minutes after leaving the building, he approached her.
In the images you can see that Lucas is on the sidewalk, next to the door of the building. A young man in a red shirt on a bicycle approaches and announces the assault.
“At that point, I freaked out. My reaction was to throw the device out the door,” Lucas says. Twitter. Experts, however, advise the victim to always hand over the objects and not react (read below).
Then the bandit leaves. In the images you can see that the aggressor has a gun on his waist, inside his shorts and under his shirt, it is not possible to know if it is real or a simulation.
“He came threatening me with death. But at that moment I didn’t even think about anything, everything was very fast. I didn’t see that he was armed because my back was turned when he lifted his shirt. I only went to see him later in the security camera images “. adds the auditor.
Still according to Lucas after the unsuccessful robbery attempt, the bandit went by bicycle to the beach. The auditor then entered the condo, took out his cell phone, and waited for the car by request inside the gate. The device has not been damaged.
The robbery attempt took place on Sunday afternoon (22). The young man says that the day he did not go to the police to register the police report, but that an online record will be made.
Second robbery attempt
Lucas says this was the second robbery attempt he suffered. The first was in January 2019, on the shores of Enseada beach. At that time, the auditor also reacted and his cell phone was not stolen. “I ran out and the bully stopped robbing me,” he recalls.
Although Lucas was not injured in both cases, he points out that his attitudes were not correct. “I was inconsequential, but at that time we did not think clearly. I know we should not do that and I do not advise anyone to react because our life is at risk,” he warned.
In case of theft, deliver the object.
The former secretary of Public Security of the Nation, Colonel José Vicente, says that Lucas’ behavior was incorrect and that, in the face of an attack, the victim must always hand over the object and not offer resistance.
“The person must have a conditioning that the worst can happen, an assault or something very dangerous. The victim must get rid of this threatening situation as soon as possible. This only happens with the delivery of the object. The objects are always subject to replacement: if you buy another. The damage is certainly less than being hit, shot or killed, “he said.
The retired colonel of the São Paulo Military Police explains what happens to the bandit’s head during a robbery.
“When a person is preparing for an assault, he expects his action to continue with the victim delivering the object he wants. When he does not, there is an emotional acceleration in the criminal, and he can, in this moment of uncontrollability, simply shoot” . .
