A Joinville resident was a victim of homophobia inside the condominium where he lives. Last week, Felipe Alves, 26, was surprised by a handwritten note and it was left under his door.
On paper, the neighbor complained that Felipe was walking hand in hand with his boyfriend in the common areas of the condominium.
“Hello neighbor. Condomínio Piratuba is a familiar place. We respect all people and we do not care what everyone does inside their home. But this week I had to explain to my young son why two men are holding hands walking in the parking lot. Please respect, “says the note.
Felipe exposed the case on his social networks. On his Instagram account, he says that when he read the note, he did not respond. “At first I couldn’t even reason properly. I couldn’t believe what I was reading and I kept it to myself, ”he says.
However, days later, he decided to demonstrate in the condominium group, through the messaging application. “Unfortunately, I couldn’t identify who the author was, but I volunteered to make an illustrated and detailed brochure to help the child respect differences and not become ignorant like his parents,” he wrote on Instagram.
After exposing the situation, he received messages of support from the neighbors. The case gained a lot of impact on social networks. “Our struggle is daily and only together do we earn respect and our rights,” he declared.
