The body of cartoonist Marco Antônio Rosa Borges, 54, was found by the police. He had been missing since Saturday (21), when he was last seen near his home in Campo Grande (MS). The cartoonist’s girlfriend, Clarice Silvestre, 44, confessed today to a team of the Military Police of the city of São Gabriel do Oeste that she committed the crime.
She explained that she had killed the victim with knife blows. Then he dismembered the body and put it in three suitcases, then set it on fire.
The Special Commissariat for the Suppression of Homicide Crimes (DEH) was summoned after the deposition and indication of suspicion about the place where he left the body. The team of civil, military and expert police found his suitcases on the floor of an uninhabited house, located in the Jardim Corcovado neighborhood, south of Campo Grande.
Police had no difficulty finding the body, and DEH Police Chief Carlos Delano said the suspect was not concerned with hiding traces of the crime. In the indicated area, the team found a body with arms and legs, in addition to the pelvis separated from the body.
In the testimony given to the São Gabriel do Oeste military police, Clarice said that she committed the crime after being attacked by Marco Antônio with slaps in the face. He then reportedly pushed the victim, who was standing next to a ladder, and passed out upon hitting his head.
Then he would have stabbed Marco Antônio and left the place. Upon returning, the cartoonist’s girlfriend declared that he dismembered himself and placed the pieces in three suitcases and had the help of an acquaintance to dispose of the body.
The suspect reported that the man who helped her did not know about the murder and only carried the packages to the ground. A few hours later, Clarice returned alone and set the body on fire.

Marco Antonio was a professional cartoonist and cartoonist with extensive experience in the Mato Grosso do Sul press. Since 2006 he has worked as a contributor to the newspaper O Estado and is remembered by colleagues and friends for his talent and for being a calm and friendly person.
The suspect arrived at Campo Grande around 6 in the afternoon and was testifying before the civil police until the text was closed.
