For the first time in 30 weeks, the 21 Covid regions of RS are red flagged, which shows a high epidemiological risk for the risk of coronavirus according to the preliminary map published this Friday (27), by the state government.

“It is an alert that is presented in our state, in the same direction that is happening in other states. In fact, we are experiencing a second wave of coronavirus here in Rio Grande do Sul and also in other regions,” warned the state governor . Eduardo Leite.

As of Thursday (26), RS had 1,183 patients hospitalized due to the disease and 775 people in ICU beds. The number of beds did not change in the last week, and there was a 13% increase in confirmed Covid-19 patients admitted to the ICU, which resulted in a greater reduction in free beds, reaching the lowest level since start of controlled distance: 0.67.

furthermore, the the number of active cases of the disease grew 13% and exceeded the 21 thousand mark people who tested positive only in that period.

At least three regions had a weighted average close to the black flag: Bagé, Erechim and Uruguaiana.

The municipalities can present resources during the weekend. The final version of the map is presented on Monday (30) and will be valid the next day.
