The federal government is working to launch the new Emergency Aid looting rounds in early March. According to information, the objective of the government’s economic team is to approve in the National Congress within three weeks the proposals that will guarantee the release of the benefit.
In addition, at this time the government is also designing the new benefits format that will no longer be for the more than 67 million beneficiaries they received last year. The government’s goal is to reach just over 40 million people this year.
According to members of the economic team, many people received emergency aid in 2020 without being entitled to payment, now the government intends to reach only the most vulnerable sectors of the population. Last year many beneficiaries who received and will not receive this year relate to situations where the government did not have filters to establish who should actually receive the benefit, where establishing more filters could delay payments to beneficiaries.
Double profit
Last year, single mothers had the right to receive emergency aid with a double amount, so in the first five installments of R $ 600 the mothers received R $ 1,200 and in the four residual installments of R $ 300 the mothers received R $ 600.
However, the government has not yet ruled on this detail. The expectation on the part of the members of the government is that the benefit can double for this type of cases than last year.
Fees and value
Regarding the number of packages, the government team intends to release four packages that must be released from the package, continuing until June. Regarding the amount, the team of the Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, claims an amount close to R $ 200 and R $ 250. A significantly lower value than when the benefit started last year at R $ 600 and ended at R $ 300.
In addition, Guedes wants the installments to start at R $ 250 and end at R $ 200, an amount that will be similar to what has been prepared for the new Bolsa Família that should go on sale in the coming days.
Finally, the value of the benefit, as well as which citizens will be considered, must be proposed through a Provisional Measure. Therefore, the rules go into effect as soon as the government publishes the MP. According to members of the government team, changing the rules while the aid works is more complicated, so the best option will be the Provisional Measure.
