Eduardo Coudet is no longer a coach at International. Leader of the Brazilian Championship, the Argentine accepted an offer from Celta, of Spain, and no longer commands Colorado. The reasons for leaving are not precisely technical, but the sum of internal factors that have displeased the commander since the beginning of his career.
In a press conference held yesterday (9), the Colorado leadership declared that it was taken by surprise by the irreducible decision to leave.

Promises x Reality
Coudet was convinced to accept Inter with some promises. When he encountered the first challenge in Brazil, he heard that the club would seek to fulfill his requests, put together a competitive team to win titles again. The reality, however, was not that. Faced with a difficult financial situation even before the new coronavirus pandemic, Inter needed to measure investment.
The club, however, intended to sell at least two players after the first half. Therefore, I would raise funds to accommodate the wishes of the technician. But the pandemic arrived, the investment of European clubs also fell, and it was only negotiated with Bruno Fuchs.
The bad was even worse in the red coffers. With the imposition of games without an audience and the paralysis of contests for long months, the income dried up and the possibility of hiring was even lower. The “super Inter” expected by Coudet never came true.
Public requests and complaints
Meanwhile, the manager never tired of publicly asking for new players. Coudet, unlike the board members, explained that he wanted at least four other players, who had to be seasoned athletes, not young players with perspective. He voiced his discontent on several occasions and pressed managerial attitudes on the microphones. Taking into account since the beginning of the season, Inter added 14 players (one has already left the club).
The soccer team did not like it and responded, also publicly, to the Argentine’s phrases.
Coudet had already “paid the price” for being very sincere. At the beginning of the year he complained about the state of the lawns at CT Parque Gigante and Beira-Rio. He had already been reprimanded at that time.
Politics and instability
The proximity of the Inter elections also upset Coudet. The coach did not hide his discontent when the vice president of football, Alessandro Barcellos, was removed from the board for political reasons. He is one of the presidential candidates later this month.
Coudet was close to the leader and did not agree with the firing. At a recent press conference, he said that no professional could feel safe at Inter heading into 2021, regardless of whether they have a contract or not. “I don’t know if I’ll stay,” he said, citing the instability generated by the change of direction.
“As for the dimension, the way he interpreted it, this is his, it is his peculiarity, he made this analysis, he made this option unilaterally, he wants to work in Europe, it was a personal choice. Coudet was actively involved in the Inter signing process, but did not approve of all the new players he received. Yuri Alberto, for example, was only used after the coach was convinced that it could be useful. Unlike Leandro Fernández, who already arrived under the tutelage of Chacho.
Mauricio, the last to join the group, also did not enthuse the captain, who wanted more experienced players. Luciano Ribeiro, on loan from the German Hoffenheim, was a few minutes away on the Colorado pitch. Matheus Jussa did not start the game even in his favorite positions: midfielder or defense.
Europe’s proposal, investment and entrepreneur
Celta’s offer appeared on Coudet’s horizon a long time ago. The coach’s coach, Christian Bragarnik, has heavy traffic at the Vigo club, of which Coudet was a sportsman in 2003.
