At the age of 17, Patryck lives in 2020 one of the most special moments of his still short career. The left back of São Paulo was frequently referred by Fernando Diniz to the substitute bench.
Patryck had already felt the sensation of joining the professionals in 2019. In the last round of the Brasileirão, he had his first experience among those listed. At that time, only reserves and grassroots athletes went to Alagoas to face the CSA.

– I received the invitation to join the training that week. I stood out, I did well. When the sign came out, my name was there: “Patryck 36.” I was very happy. I ran out to call my parents, talk to my brothers, my friends. Everyone was excited, proud. They know how much I dedicate, I train … – Patryck said.
Before departure, the boy did not escape the famous deception. The day before the confrontation, Patryck had his teammates shave his hair as a way to baptize him for the new stage.

The side did not leave the reserve in the classic, but began a series of calls for the following matches. Even without receiving minutes on the field, Patryck knows that this period will be a great learning experience for his career.
– I have tried to learn more every day, I know that I am still very young, I am only 17 years old. Sometimes the children joke saying that I am 2003. I know that things have been happening very fast in my life, like the Brazilian team in the South American, World Cup and now here in São Paulo. That’s why I try to enjoy each training session, each game, learn a lot, because I know that the opportunity is coming and I have to prepare a lot – he commented.
Even at 17, Patryck has a lot of experience on the base. In São Paulo since the age of 11, the player born in Mogi Mirim has always been a standout in the categories he passed through and was quickly called up by the Brazilian team.
In 2019 he had his best moment with good performances for the national team. At age 16 he started in the South American Under-17 and in the campaign for the title in the same category. In the quarterfinals, he even scored a beautiful goal against Italy.

The good performances made Patryck join the São Paulo Sub-20. Earlier this year, he played in the São Paulo Junior Soccer Cup for Tricolor and began to be watched more closely by Fernando Diniz.
In a cast full of boys, “PTK”, as his peers nickname him, is the youngest and tries to join the elders to follow a successful path in the club where he lived all his childhood.
– It is very good to live with these athletes that I used to see only on TV, in the stadium … We are creating alliances, Tchê Tchê is a boy who supports me a lot, we even play betting on the video game (laughs). A good boy. Brunão (Bruno Alves) gives me experience in the field. And Daniel Alves is a reference, an idol, more for playing in my position – said Patryck.
This Saturday, at 7:00 p.m., against Goiás, in Morumbi, the left back should be among those registered again. With 30 points in fifth place, Tricolor has the best use of the Brasileirão. There are three fewer games compared to most teams.
