Defeated 4-2 by LDU tonight (22), São Paulo was further away from the qualifying round of the Copa Libertadores. However, Tricolor is not removed and you can still go ahead with a combination of results. Under the sports lists possible scenarios.
There are two days left for the final of group D of the Libertadores. LDU leads with nine points, followed by River Plate (seven), São Paulo (four) and Binacional, from Peru (three). Two of them qualify for the round of 16, and Tricolor is no longer just up to you.

With two wins
River Plate (in Argentina) and Binacional (at home) win: São Paulo would close the group stage with ten points. In this case, River would also reach a maximum of ten points (if he won LDU in the last round). In this scenario, Tricolor would have to wait for a stumble from the Argentines so as not to have to take the current difference of 11 goals off balance.
An even better scenario for São Paulo would be for Binacional to defeat LDU in Quito, in the fifth round. In this case, Tricolor would depend on you again to qualify: it would be enough to win the same Binational, in the last round, while the other two competitors would play a decision between them in Argentina.
A win and a draw
Life in São Paulo would be much more difficult (and complex) in the scenario of a win and a draw in the last two rounds. On this account, São Paulo would reach eight points.
If the tie is against River Plate: In the final round, São Paulo would have to beat Binacional, wait for LDU to beat the Argentines and, in the combination of the two games, score 11 goals at a disadvantage on the scale.
If São Paulo wins River and ties with Binacional: he would have to “only” wait for a victory for the LDU in Buenos Aires, in the game that would be life or death for the Argentines.
A victory and a defeat
If São Paulo wins River Plate and then loses to Binacional: He would have to cheer for LDU twice: against Peruvians and against Argentines. In the midst of it all, he would still have to get the 11 balance goals that River currently has an advantage over.
