BRASILIA – A minister of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) said, in a reserved way, that he was not surprised by the statements of the Minister of Education, Abraham Weintraub, in the video of the meeting quoted by former Justice Minister Sergio Moro and shown to investigators on Tuesday. In the images, Weintraub defended the arrest of STF ministers, as reported by O GLOBO.

The Supreme Minister considered that Weintraub often makes controversial statements and is prone to verbal outbursts. Therefore, the speech did not shock. The magistrate also said he does not believe the government supports Weintraub’s opinion.

According to reports from four people who saw the recording of the April 22 ministerial meeting, Weintraub said, “You have to send everyone to jail, starting with the STF.” Those present reported that the phrase was said while Weintraub criticized the people who work at the branches in Brasilia.
