After breaking the silence and talking about the accusations of moral and sexual harassment, Marcius Melhem had a photo from 2014 rescued from the internet this Saturday (5). That year, the comedian participated in a debate on Altas Horas de Globo, to discuss precisely violence against women. The photo is from Serginho Groisman’s program on April 5, 2014, in which Claudia Leitte, Juliana Paes and Marcelo Adnet participated. Writer and journalist Nana Queiroz led the talk on violence against women.

That year, the professional created the campaign Eu Não Deserves Ser Violada as a protest against a survey by Ipea (Institute of Applied Economic Research), which reported that 65.1% of Brazilians agreed, totally or partially, that “women who wear clothes that show that the body deserves to be attacked ”.

The issue was debated in Groisman’s attraction to guests, who posed for photos with the poster in hand. On the show, Claudia gave her testimony on the subject. “It is not because I am dancing on stage that I am a sexual object. Respect must exist,” he said.

In social networks, Internet users recalled the comedian’s participation in the discussion. “Anyway, the hypocrisy of Marcius Melhem,” wrote Sidney Andreato. “Marcius Melhem has already protested for the feminist cause in Globo,” said Marcela Medeiros.

This Saturday, in an interview of more than an hour with UOL journalists Mauricio Stycer and Dolores Orosco, the former director admitted that he made mistakes and that he had attitudes in the work and personal sphere that currently no longer fit. However, he denied that he was a violent person or that he had sexually harassed women who were in his Globo apartment.

“After a year I can understand that everything that happened to me and is happening to me, happened through my mistakes. Today I understand that I had behaviors, attitudes that no longer fit. I was a toxic man, a terrible husband, a person who committed excesses when interact with people within their own work environment, ”he stated.

He affirmed that the long report published in the magazine Piauí is a narrative with many fabricated stories, and that he is suing the lawyer Mayra Cotta and judicially challenging Dani Calabresa to confirm or de-mine everything that was reported in the publication.
