Last Monday (16) was going to be another day of rest for 24-year-old Rauan Neri dos Santos, his wife and friends who accompanied them. However, the moment of the fraternization turned into a tragedy when Rauan, who is a bricklayer and had taken the day off, was killed by being shot in the chest in a shooting on Boa Viagem beach. The shots that killed Rauan also claimed the lives of two more people and wounded three more bathers who were on the beach.
According to reports from his wife and friend who were on the beach and did not want to identify themselves, Rauan was in the water at the time all the confusion started and the suspects invaded the shooting on the beach. The bricklayer was hit after hearing the shots and trying to protect himself from the sea.

Rauan’s friend, who was next to the victim’s wife when it all happened, said that by the time the bricklayer was shot, he had become aware of the situation and was trying to protect himself. “Rauan was in the water. The moment it started, I think he heard and realized it was a shooting. He came out of the water and the gunshot hit him. Then he went back into the water so he wouldn’t take any more bullets. After that, We can’t find it anymore ”, revealed the friend who spent hours looking for the body.
The stonemason’s wife also spoke about the feeling of rebellion over Rauan’s death. “It is a feeling of pain like I have never felt before, I am also very upset. My husband never hurt anyone, he was not involved in anything wrong, and even then, the crime suddenly took his life. You cannot help but feel angry about all this is very bad ”, he declared.
