Warzone does not allow you to disable cross play on Xbox One and PC • Eurogamer.net

Call of Duty: Warzone has been talking for a while and not always for the best reasons.

Last week, reports emerged of players deciding to disable cross-gameplay on consoles to escape cheating on PC, but not all Warzone players on one console can do that.

Before Activision and Infinity Ward reacted with tougher measures, players decided to opt for cross play to try to avoid playing with cheating people to win and ruin the experience of others.

Crossplay was one of the standout features in the Warzone ad and allows you to bring the entire community together on the same maps and lobbies, meaning you will find matches faster and there will be no shortage of players.

However, the traps became unbearable, and disabling cross-play was an urgent measure to combat the problem. But as Eurogamer discovered in England, contrary to what Activision reports, only PS4 players can disable the feature.

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, all players can disable crossplay, but in Warzone, players who disable the feature in the options menu discover a warning that forces them to enable it again to enter the pairing. The PS4 version notifies you that it’s better to revive crossover play, but get carried away by the pairing.

Some Xbox One gamers say they did this through the console menu by disabling multiplayer games with players on other services outside of Xbox Live, but not everyone can find games, and those who did took a long time doing so.

Activision did not comment on the situation, but it is understandable that keeping crossplay active and as one of Warzone’s big arguments is advantageous, especially to ensure full servers and ease of finding matches.

However, it is still curious that you can do it on PS4 and not on Xbox One or PC.
