Mother and daughter were buried after the collapse of a wall in the center of Brotas, in the interior of São Paulo, earlier tonight. The storm that hit the city during the afternoon would have caused the collapse. The accident was detected by security cameras in a nearby store.
In the images you can see Ananete Silva Santos, 72, and her daughter Amanda Silva Santos, 22, walking along Avenida Mário Pinotti holding an umbrella. They cross the street and, as they approach the corner, the wall collapses, reaching both of them.
According to the Fire Department, Ananete died at the scene. Amanda has already been rescued. She was transferred to a city hospital and later transferred to a hospital in Jaú, with several fractures and in serious condition.
A family friend, who declined to be interviewed, confirmed to the Twitter that, hours after being admitted to the hospital, the young woman could not resist her injuries and died.

According to firefighters, the wall was about four meters high. A car that was parked was also hit by debris.
The site, which is right in the center of the city, was a building that was demolished years ago. Currently, the wall surrounded a vacant lot.
There is no information yet on the burial of the mother and daughter.
Heavy Rain
According to the Fire Department, a heavy rain hit the city this afternoon. In about an hour it rained about 70 millimeters.
In addition to the collapse of the wall, trees were also uprooted. The rain gave a break in the early afternoon.
