It rains heavily in Campo Grande, this Tuesday afternoon (1st), with hail. According to the forecast of Immet (National Institute of Meteorology), the alert is of danger with storms accompanied by gusts of wind, which can reach up to 90 km / h in Mato Grosso do Sul.
Some streets were flooded with the force of the water. On Rua Maracaju with Father João Cripa, the water forms a small stream near the sewers.
According to Clima Tempo, in addition to the heavy rains, “the gusts of wind around 90 km / h can be repeated throughout this week due to these storms.”
Thus, Climatempo pointed out that the storms were “just the beginning of a week with a lot of instability in Mato Grosso do Sul.”
Then the storms should repeat until Saturday (5). The heavily loaded clouds over Mato Grosso do Sul are associated with the constant influx of warm and humid winds from the north of Brazil and the persistence of an area of low atmospheric pressure very close to the state.
Inmet’s guide is to avoid staying under trees, as there is a risk of falls and electric shock, and not to park vehicles near transmission towers and billboards; if possible, turn off electrical appliances and the power plate; and contact the Civil Defense (phone 199) and the Fire Department (phone 193) if necessary.
