The Viçosa City Council regulated Onda Roxa’s measures in a new decree published on the night of this Tuesday 16. Decree No. 5623/2021 It was signed by Mayor Raimundo Nonato (PSD) after many hours of discussions between the managers of the Mayor’s Office, who remained together throughout the day.
By decision of the governor Romeu Zema (Novo), all the municipalities of Minas Gerais will join Onda Roxa as of this Wednesday (17), which provides for the operation of only essential services and “curfew.” The determinations are valid for 15 days.
In Viçosa, the face-to-face service in banks, lottery houses and other financial institutions will continue to operate under the CPF rotation scheme. Self-service in these branches will obey the rotation of the CPF during banking hours. This is the only complementary norm instituted by the municipal decree signed today.

- Car workshops, dealerships and car rental companies
- Civil construction
- Laundries
- Trade in personal protective equipment
- Face-to-face classes of the last period of health courses
WHAT WILL BE CLOSED?
Everything that is not considered essential, such as shopping malls, clothing stores, that cannot be served even in the drive thru system. Bars and restaurants can serve by delivery and collection at the counter. Venues for cultural events and soccer matches will also not be allowed.
Also according to noram, the operation of commercial galleries will be prohibited; optics; cinemas and theaters; gyms; beauty salon and aesthetic clinics; retail trade of clothing, footwear, electronics, bed, bath and table items, and haberdashery; schools and universities (public and private); social and sports associations and clubs; sports practices and competitions; cultural and leisure events, as well as social ones.
WHAT ARE THE RULES OF STREET CIRCULATION?
- Workers of essential activities and users of essential services can circulate;
- People who live in different houses cannot visit each other.
- People with flu-like symptoms should not leave the house.
WHAT IS THE TOUCH COLLECTION?
From 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. from Monday to Friday and weekends, people will only be able to leave for essential services.
And who to disobey?
City government inspection officers and military police officers may approach anyone on the street, who must justify why they left. If it is not for something essential, you will be directed to go home, and if you ignore the order, you may be arrested.
CHURCHES AND TEMPLES
They cannot work. In the program standard, the activity is not included in the list of essential activities. Conscious Mines, however, does not have specific regulations on the operation of churches and temples.
FREE FAIRS
The Ministry of Agriculture announced, on the afternoon of Tuesday 16, the suspension of the free fairs on Saturday and Wednesday. The fair scheduled for tomorrow, on Rua dos Estudante, has been canceled. The measure is valid as long as the city remains in Onda Roxa.
