The reformulation in Vasco’s football department is in full swing. As soon as the technical committee headed by Ricardo Sá Pinto and coach André Mazzuco left the club, the club negotiated with Zé Ricardo and agreed with Alexandre Bird an executive position in the club’s football department.

Zé was already the preferred name, and there should be conversations: between the coach, the current board, led by Alexandre Campello, and the next one, who will have Jorge Salgado as his agent. A result may occur in the next few hours.

Vasco’s football department would already undergo changes with the change of direction in the second half of January. The new board does not yet have a vice president for the club’s flagship, and may not even have one. But with the dismissal of Mazzuco and the end of the mandate of José Luis Moreira, the club agreed with Alexandre Bird.

His role at Vasco is not yet certain, but the club will have an executive to answer for football, probably starting this Friday. In São Paulo, the 30-year-old lawyer was a manager with more internal than external duties.

According to the SPEAR!, there were conversations between Jorge Salgado and Rodrigo Caetano. Until now, at least, there has been no agreement to be the strongman of Basque football since 2020.
