The authorization was the only pending step for the agency to initiate the procedures involved in the event, including the election of the organizing table and the publication of the notice.
If the terms established in the DECREE N ° 9.739, OF MARCH 28, 2019 are actually followed, the PF contest will follow the possible deadlines:
- Public notice until June 9, 2021;
- Objective tests (1st stage) until October 2021.

FAQ contest: what is the maximum age?
One of the main and most questioned requirements for the Federal Police contest is age, since in the police career it is common for notices to require the maximum age of candidates (PF contest).
According to the Federal Police legislation, there is no age limit to apply for one of the vacancies, either in the administrative area or in the police career.
The candidate needs be 18 years old on the date of investiture and observe the limit established for mandatory retirement, which today he is 75 years old.
FAQ contest: is the technologist course accepted as a college degree?
As with other public competitions, any higher level certificate from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) is accepted in the positions of Agent of the Federal Police, Registrar of the Federal Police, Papillo Scopist of the Federal Police, Expert Federal Criminal (PF contest).
In specific positions in the administrative area, a higher level certificate is required in the desired area. For the position of delegate it is necessary to have a higher level of law.
The same rule applies to higher education certificates in institutions abroad. The certificate will only be accepted if it is recognized by the MEC.

What are the stages of the PF contest?
In the first place, the candidate interested in joining the Federal Police must pass all the stages of the contest, which includes:
- Objective test
- Voice test
- Physical fitness test
- Oral test, only for the position of Police Delegate
- Typing practice test, only for Registrar position
- Medical evaluation
- Psychological evaluation
- Degree evaluation, only for the occupations of Delegate and Criminal Expert
For the positions corresponding to the administrative area, the candidates will be evaluated by means of an objective test, discursive test and title evaluation for higher education candidates.
