With 37.3ºC, the city of São Paulo registered yesterday at the Mirante de Santana station the third highest temperature in its historical series, only behind the 37.8ºC on 10/17/2014 and the 37.4ºC on October 02 / 2020. Almost all of the great highs of the city of São Paulo since measurements began in the city in 1943 have now occurred in this extraordinary heat wave in the months of September and October 2020.

São Paulo not only had a state heat record yesterday. The temperature in Mato Grosso do Sul reached 44.6ºC yesterday in the municipality of Paranaíba.
