Of the seven dead in the Ibaretama massacre, in the interior of Ceará, which occurred in the early hours of Thursday (26), two are from the same family. Wiliam da Silva Lima, 7, is the nephew of Osvaldo da Silva Lima. They both died. The owner of the house where the crime occurred is Wiliam’s mother and Osvaldo’s sister. She was injured and was transferred to a hospital unit.
The victims were inside the property when armed suspects arrived at the place around 3 in the morning, claiming to be policemen, asked them to open the door. Shortly after, according to the housewife’s mother, the criminals asked the victims to kneel and began shooting.
The victims still tried to flee to the backyard of the residence, but were shot. THE Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (SSPDS) reported, in a note, that the police were at the scene collecting data from the victims.
The Quixadá Police, which is investigating the case, reported that all the victims were members of a criminal organization.

By means of a note, the Secretariat of Public Security reported that teams from the Directorate of Homicides and Protection of the Person (DHPP) and the Directorate of the Judicial Police of the Southern Interior (DPI-Sul), the Civil Police and the Intelligence Coordination of the Ministry They were transferred to Ibaretama to, together with the Quixadá Regional Police team, carry out surveys on the deaths registered in the city.

Quiterianópolis Massacre
Just over a month ago, another massacre was recorded in the state. On October 18, five men were shot dead in a residence on Rua Manuel Vieira de Carvalho, in the municipality of Quiterianópolis, 410 kilometers from Fortaleza. A sixth man was injured and was rescued to Santa Casa de Sobral.
The victims drank alcoholic beverages when four armed men entered the scene, asked the victims to lie down, and fired multiple shots. After the crime, police surveys found that two victims had passed through the police. One of them wore electronic anklets.
