Two more ministers who participated in the inauguration of Fux are with Covid

Two ministers of the Superior Court of Justice who were in the power of Minister Luiz Fux in the Presidency of the Supreme Federal Court are with Covid-19, according to Bela Megale’s blog, in “O Globo.”

The ceremony took place last Thursday (9/10). Luis Felipe Salomão and Antonio Saldanha Palheiro tested positive for coronavirus, but they are doing well, fulfilling social isolation and working remotely.

On Monday (9/14), the STF advisory office reported that Fux was diagnosed with Covid-19 and will be in isolation for the next ten days.

Also according to the press office, the minister is fine and intends to virtually conduct the ordinary session of the Plenary this Wednesday (9/16). However, the session of the National Council of Justice on Tuesday (9/15) was postponed.

The ceremony took place in person in the Plenary of the Court, which was adapted with acrylic dividers between the ministers to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus. Most of the ministers attended, with the exception of Celso de Mello, Gilmar Mendes and Ricardo Lewandowski, who followed by videoconference.

Also attending the ceremony were the President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro; the presidents of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, Rodrigo Maia and Davi Alcolumbre, respectively; the PGR, Augusto Aras; and the president of the Federal Council of the OAB, Felipe Santa Cruz.
