Two lawyers are shot to death at a law firm in Goiânia | Come on

The crime occurred around 2:30 pm. According to the Military Police, two men were expected to be treated by lawyers. When they got to the office, they went in and waited. Also according to the report, the secretary took them to the lawyers room, when the criminals turned the victims on their backs and fired.

Still, according to the PM, upon hearing the shots, the secretary ran to another room and locked herself inside a bathroom. Witnesses informed TV Anhanguera that the criminals fled in a white car, the same one they arrived at.

The Brazilian Bar Association – Goiás Section (OAB-GO) reported that Marcio is the son of Judge Leobino Valente Chaves, former president of the Goiás Court of Justice (TJ-GO).

The OAB-GO reported that it received information about the incident and appointed its vice president, Thales Jaime, and another representative of the Rights and Prerogatives Commission to go to the scene of the crime. In a note, the entity expressed its dissatisfaction with the death of the lawyers and expressed its rejection of the growing escalation of violence against the legal profession.

“We demand from the competent authorities a quick elucidation, so that those responsible are brought to the courts of Justice and punished in an exemplary manner”, declared the OAB-GO.

The president of TJ-GO, Judge Walter Carlos Lemes, decreed an official three-day duel. “The Judicial Power of the State of Goiás, for all its organs, will celebrate an official mourning on October 28, 29 and 30, in homage to the memory of the son of Judge Leobino Valente Chaves” (read the full text below).

The military police cordoned off the office after the murder. In a note, the corporation’s advisor reported that, at this time, “due diligence is being carried out to arrest the perpetrators of this crime.”

The Civil Police reported that a working group made up of five delegates and 30 Civil Police officers was created to intervene in the place and immediately initiate investigations together with the Military Police, the Criminalistics Institute and the Identification Institute, with the objective of clarifying the crime.

Delegates Francisco Junior and Mirian Vidal were at the scene of the crime to initiate the investigation and clarify the circumstances of how the double homicide occurred. Also according to the corporation, all the details of the case will be kept confidential so as not to jeopardize the investigations.
