This Friday (09), the streaming service launched to the creators of the United States the Watch Party function, which allows them to watch movies and series in sync with the public, with a unique interface and features.
The system works connected to Prime Video, Amazon’s content streaming platform, and has a dedicated list of entertainment options. The main original series of the platform, such as Good omens, The boys, Jack Ryan and The wonderful lady Maisel can be used at Watch Parties as well as licensed and classics like BaywatchMarvel movies Star Trek, The kitchen of hell and Vikings. More options are gradually being added, and the company is counting on community involvement to complete this list.
In the official announcement, Twitch says that it is yet another move to unite people in this period of social isolation due to the new coronavirus pandemic. The company also associates the experience of going to a movie to the cinema with friends, with the difference that, on the broadcast platform, no one will complain about the fact that everyone is talking non-stop while the exhibition is being held.
Through the Watch Party interface, the user can access the program being viewed directly from Prime Video and also synchronize their own experience with that of the content producer. Resources such as chat, emojis, subscriptions and other financial support for the creator are also available, and the idea is that, in return, they indicate to their audience that it is possible to access the video platform for free during the first month. , establishing a measure to expand the number of subscribers to the service.

According to Twitch, the feature is still in Beta status and may have some issues, in addition to receiving new features in the future. For now, there is no release forecast for content creators outside of the United States.
