TSE confirms new dates for elections in Macapá: December 6 and 20 | Amapá

Amapá has been experiencing a power supply crisis since November 3, after a fire hit the state’s main substation. The problem affects several services. On Tuesday (17) the state faced a new blackout.

The first round across the country took place on Sunday (15) and the second round is scheduled for November 29.

The TSE postponed the elections in Macapá in response to a request from TRE-AP. At the time, the regional court argued that the postponement was necessary due to the power supply crisis in the municipality. The rest of the cities of the state held the elections normally last Sunday.

The Minister of Mines and Energy, Bento Albuquerque, travels to the state this Thursday. This Wednesday (18), the ministry said in a note that it is “sending all efforts” to resolve the situation in Amapá.
