Toyota made changes to its price list for the month of May. With that, Corolla and RAV4 became more expensive.
In the case of the Corolla, the entry-level GLi now starts at R $ 105,990, an increase of R $ 3 thousand.
The intermediate XEi version went to R $ 116,990 (R $ 2,900 extra), while the Corolla Altis starts with R $ 134,990 in 2.0 flex and 1.8 hybrid engines, known as Altis Hybrid.
If the customer opts for the Hybrid Premium version, the account increases to R $ 142,490, an increase of R $ 5,100. It is important to remember that the appreciation of the dollar may have influenced the readjustment, as the hybrid sedan package is imported from Japan.
The Corolla is already sold in line 2021, which does not bring any changes in relation to the model previously available in dealerships.
See the price list for the Corolla 2021 line below:
Corolla GLi 2.0: R $ 105,990 (R $ 3 thousand increase)
Corolla XEi 2.0: R $ 116,990 (R $ 2,900 increase)
Corolla Altis 2.0: R $ 134,990 (R $ 4,600 increase)
Corolla Altis 1.8 Hybrid: R $ 134,990 (R $ 4,600 increase)
Corolla Altis 1.8 Hybrid Premium: R $ 142,490 (increase of R $ 5,100)
RAV4 also becomes more expensive
The RAV4 SUV is another Toyota model that has become more expensive.
And there was no increase: the S ticket now costs R $ 217,990, or R $ 24,000 more than the R $ 193,990 collected so far.
This is the second readjustment made by the manufacturer in less than two months. In April, Toyota had already taken advantage of the launch of the 2020 line to increase the value of the RAV4 S by R $ 18 thousand.
The SX configuration, which had been adjusted from R $ 195,990 to R $ 213,990 in March, now costs R $ 239,990. The readjustment was an impressive R $ 26 thousand.
It’s good to remember that like the Corolla Hybrid, the adjustments are a direct reflection of the unusual appreciation of the dollar, which has been hitting record rates due to the coronavirus.
