Militão is called up again at a time when he had the opportunity to start at Real Madrid, after an injury to captain Sergio Ramos. By his entrance, the defender Felipe, from Atlético de Madrid, was not called. Rodrigo Caio, from Flamengo, remained among the defenders summoned by Tite.
Arthur, for his part, wins Bruno Guimarães’s place in the squad, while he recalls striker Vini Junior, replacing Rodrygo, a Real Madrid teammate. Cut from the last roster due to injury, forward Gabriel Jesus is also back, knocking Matheus Cunha out of the relationship.
The only Brazilian teams that had players called up were Flamengo and Palmeiras, who will be absent on matchday 21 of Brasileirão and, possibly, in a first leg of the quarterfinals of the Brazil Cup, the return matches are scheduled to the 18. one after the game against Uruguay.
The selection coordinator, Juninho Paulista, praised the fact that there were no positive cases of Covid-19 on the last FIFA Date and thanked the delegation for complying with the protocol.
