The goalkeeper, one of the more experienced players on the squad, commented on the role he and other older players play in a group full of young players trained by the club:

– People speak mostly of distraction, of not allowing the distraction of things outside to interfere with them. It is normal. Imagine for a child who played the São Paulo Cup until last year, and yesterday he was scoring a penalty to keep São Paulo in the Brazil Cup – said Volpi.

– What we try to convey is that they have the necessary maturity not to be fooled by what comes from outside. Not only with the bad things, but also with the good ones. We live in a very accessible world, with a social network. You really can’t believe what we hear. Our mission with young people is to provide insurance.
