It was not a very exciting night for Santos. The good news was few, but it is worth noting:
- Another solid performance from Vinicius Balieiro as first midfielder, on the wave of Diego Pituca. The Menino da Vila shows personality and is not intimidated to fight;
- Interesting participation of Lucas Braga, the most connected part of the attack. He looked for the game and participated in the good occasions of Santos, such as the great pass from Arthur Gomes, who wasted it in the first half;
- Sandry, back after recovering from Covid-19, entered the second half and made good shots to create two good opportunities. He deserves more minutes.

Despite all the problems, such as the Covid-19 outbreak, the reserves had all week to prepare to face Atlético. In practice, however, little progress was observed.
The defensive system was spaced and left holes for Atlético to explore, the rival, despite having sought more the game in general, took little advantage and achieved the winning goal in the main problem of Santos this season: the defensive aerial ball .
Jobson, the only player on the squad (he is suspended in the Libertadores), acted as a kind of second striker, practically alongside Marcos Leonardo, the center forward, when Santos did not have the ball. He was also responsible for the formation of the team, a function that he could not fulfill.
Once again, the midfield was virtually non-existent and Peixe’s best chances in the game were created from above. The attack was also timid. Marcos Leonardo was little unchained, and Arthur Gomes got in the way more than he helped, with several errors in decision making.
Peixe, previously with a great performance as a visitor, reached the fourth match without winning outside Vila Belmiro. In those four games there were three losses and a draw. In the Libertadores, however, Santos is 100% away from home this season.
