Responsible for the first phase of the investigations into the death of Pastor Anderson do Carmo, husband of Congresswoman Flordelis, Delegate Barbara Lomba said during a hearing that there were sexual relations between several members of the family, according to information published today by the newspaper ” O Globe “.
According to the delegate, the relationships occurred between the first members of the house, even when they lived in the favela of Jacarezinho, in the north of Rio.
“There were relationships between everyone there. Flordelis was not only related to Anderson and Anderson was not only related to her. [Flordelis]”he said, describing the characteristics that most caught his attention while investigating the crime.
Federal Deputy Flordelis (PSD-RJ) was denounced by the MP-RJ (Public Ministry of Rio de Janeiro) and by the Civil Police as responsible for the murder of her husband, Pastor Anderson do Carmo, who died in 2019. As she has a privileged forum, the parliamentarian will not be arrested now according to information from the two institutions.
In addition to Flordelis, 10 other people were reported, all of whom were subject to arrest warrants in August. Five of the deputy’s children and a granddaughter were arrested.
Two other sons of Flordelis, Flávio dos Santos Rodrigues and Lucas Cézar dos Santos de Souza, and former Prime Minister Marcos Siqueira Costa were already in prison. The tenth person reported and also arrested this morning is Andrea Santos Maia, wife of former PM Marcos Siqueira.
According to the investigation, Flordelis planned the murder and was responsible for recruiting and convincing the direct executor and other defendants to participate in the crime under the pretext of a robbery. The deputy also financed the purchase of the weapon and warned the victim of the arrival at the place where she was executed, according to the complaint.
The motive for the crime, the complaint describes, would be the fact that the victim maintains strict control of family finances and strictly handles conflicts, not allowing privileged treatment of those closest to Flordelis to the detriment of other family members.
