Today’s action resulted in the arrest of the military police officer Rodrigo Bitencourt Fernandes Pereira do Rego, partner of I think Technology Negócios Financeiros, one of Captain Adriano’s front companies according to the MP. Also according to the investigation, the company moved more than R $ 3.6 million between August 1, 2019 and April 28, 2020, the equivalent of more than R $ 400 thousand per month.

According to the MP, Rodrigo delivered accounts of the loan amounts handled by the gang to Julia, “evidencing, in this way, that the defendant had control over part of the amounts handled by Adriano,” says one of the extracts from the document signed by Judge Bruno. In a telephone conversation intercepted by the Justice on October 1, 2019, Rodrigo says that Julia would be his “partner.” In another dialogue on January 26, 2020, he assures that he has been working on loan for four years and that he would have “a guy behind him who would inject money.” According to the MP, he was referring to Adriano. At the time of these staples, the militiaman was already a fugitive.
Asset impairment
The investigation also found that Julia, as well as Luiz Carlos Felipe – prime minister sergeant assassinated on Saturday (20) -, acted in the deterioration of Adriano’s assets with the immediate sale of highly liquid assets after his death.
According to the complaint, the assets of the gang headed by Adriano, also considered the head of the murderous group Crime Office, were invested in the usurer, with loans at interest rates of up to 22%.
Transfer of assets after death
Julia participated in the transfer of capital from Lucho Comércio de Bebidas after Adriano’s death; according to the MP, the front company was used to launder the group’s money.
According to the investigation, Rodrigo and Carla Fontan, also the subject of today’s action, were partners in the company before Adriano’s death. Later, the property was transferred to Julia and Lucas Lotufo, Julia’s brothers. According to the complaint, this is another indication of the widow’s actions to hide Adriano’s assets.
In addition to Julia and Rodrigo, Daniel Haddad Bittencourt Fernandes Leal, designated as one of the group’s oranges, was the subject of an arrest warrant.

Assets of R $ 8.4 million seized

The Court authorized the kidnapping of the Fazenda Modelo cattle ranches in Guapimirim, in the metropolitan region of Rio, of automobiles and the blocking of assets equivalent to R $ 8.4 million, corresponding to the minimum amount found in criminal transactions.
The action is an offshoot of Operation January 2019, which resulted in the arrest of five people suspected of being related to the paramilitary group.
