The moment when the candidate for councilor of the city of Patrocínio (MG), Cássio Remis (PSBD), was shot and killed was videotaped. The murder occurred on Thursday (24), after Remis participated in a live broadcast on social networks.
Live, the candidate denounced a work carried out by the mayor’s office, when it was interrupted by the Secretary of Works, Jorge Marra (DEM).
Marra arrived in a white van and took the politician’s cell phone. “The secretary is here. They came here to attack me, understood? Don’t take my phone!” Remis says in the video before his cell phone is taken from him.
In the recording you can see the secretary getting out of the vehicle and Remis in front of the car trying to avoid having her cell phone taken away.
He then tried to enter the headquarters of the Department of Works to recover the device, at which point he was shot. According to the Military Police, Remis was shot six times, five in the head, and died on the spot. Watch:
Jorge Marra is the brother of the mayor of the city, Deiró Marra (DEM) and is a fugitive. The city executive director spoke. “We regret everything that happened, this sequence of events, absolutely, I would say, unjustifiable, which culminated in Cassio’s death.”
