A change in the counting system is causing a delay in the dissemination of results, according to the Secretary of Information Technology of the Regional Electoral Court (TRE), Luis Cézar Darienzo.
Unlike previous elections, in which the TRE passed the data to the Superior Electoral Tribunal (TSE), this year the TSE will pass the data to the TRE.
The TSE reported that the problem has nothing to do with the leakage of personal data from the servers and has nothing to do with the attempted cyberattack registered on Sunday morning (15).
“The data is being sent normally by the Regional Electoral Courts (TREs) and received normally by the totalization bank, which is adding the content more slowly than expected. The problem is being solved by the technicians, for a faster resumption of the disclosure process, ”he says in a note.
According to Darienzo, the TRE needs to receive all the ballots from the electoral zones throughout the state and then be sent to the TSE. According to him, the longest delay is receiving newsletters from 103 hard-to-reach places. So far, TRE has received 73.
The goal, according to the secretary, is to finish the countdown at 12:00 am.
