Following the end of the truckers ‘strike, the gas station owners’ union says it has already started supplying resellers.

The supply at gas stations will be normalized throughout this weekend in Belo Horizonte and in the metropolitan region of the capital and in the interior of Minas Gerais, according to a note from the Retail Union of Petroleum Derivatives of the State of Minas Gerais (Minaspetro ), released this Saturday (27).

“The expectation of Minaspetro is that the replenishment of the stocks of the stations will occur without major problems during the weekend. The availability of fuel at the stations will be gradual and depends on several factors, especially logistical. Therefore, Minaspetro cannot predict when a specific station or city will receive new shipments of fuel, “he reported.

After the race to the gas stations, due to the truckers’ strike that lasted just over 24 hours, some stations have already started to refuel, this Saturday morning (27). One of them is the Posto Atlântico, in the Jardim Atlântico neighborhood, in the Pampulha Region, which yesterday had stock liquidation and dismissed all employees.

Around 9 in the morning today, the report indicates that a tanker is refueling the establishment. An employee who is in charge of the oil change, and who declined to be identified, reported that the service station employees, about four, were warned that the fuel had arrived and that they had to return to work to attend to customers, who were waiting in line.

Salesman Luiz Oliveira, 30, was first in line and says he arrived early at the station. “I got here around 7:30 am. My tank is in reserve and I will add gasoline, which goes better. I tried to refuel yesterday, but couldn’t because the queues were huge. The feeling of being able to supply today is too good, ”he said.

The civil engineer, Walfrido Alves Junior, 71, a resident of the Copacabana neighborhood, in the Pampulha region, was the second customer in line, and he had been waiting for more than an hour to be able to stock up.

“My tank is in reserve. I’m only in this queue because I need the car to work. But I think that this race that people did at the gas stations is unnecessary, since this only contributed to the owners increasing the price even more ”, he said when he saw that the price charged for gasoline was R $ 5.38 and for alcohol R $ 3.88. .

Truckers strike suspended

This Friday (26) the Sinditanque decided to suspend the strike after a meeting with the government. Even after suspension, the stations woke up with long lines this Saturday morning (27).

‘Minaspetro believes that Sindtanque’s claim to reduce the ICMS on fuels is legitimate. In addition to tanker trucks, which are strongly affected by the high tax burden imposed on the liter of diesel, the stations are also against the excess of taxes on these products “, concludes the note.
