Made specifically for Europe, the Ford Puma will get a sports version, which has already been seen in tests, and now the brand confirms its launch, launching the first teaser. The video shows some elements in quick cuts, highlighting what makes the crossover special. The launch will take place in the coming months, beginning to sell at the end of the year.

The Ford Puma ST will look more aggressive than the regular crossover variant. It will have a revised front bumper with a new shape for the central air intake. It also has a very subtle diffuser. The extensions on the wheel boxes give the impression that he is more muscular. The wheels also have a new design, asymmetric and with V-ribs. At the rear, there is a large roof spoiler and a redesigned bumper with a pair of tailpipes.

The video also shows that the interior of the Puma ST will feature Recaro seats and the “ST” logo on the seats and steering wheel.

Supposedly, its strength will come from the three-cylinder 1.5 turbo engine that also equips the Fiesta ST. If it has the same horsepower as the sports hatch, it will generate 201 hp and 29.6 kgfm of torque. This engine will adopt a 6-speed manual transmission with front-wheel drive. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h will be just over 6 seconds.

Although the idea of a cheaper sports crossover is fun, unfortunately we should not see the Ford Puma ST in Brazil, as it was made to be an alternative more aligned with the taste of Europeans, unlike our EcoSport, which was not successful stop there.
