The second phase of vaccination against flu begins this Thursday The people who belong to the priority group are: professionals from the security and rescue forces, truckers, public transport drivers, carriers of chronic non-communicable diseases (comorbidities) and other special clinical conditions, as well as people deprived of liberty, professionals of the penitentiary system and adolescents and young people from 12 to 21 years old under socio-educational measures. The campaign will continue until May 22.

Teachers were also included in this stage of the campaign, however, according to the guidance of the Ministry of Health, followed by the Secretary of Health, they will only be included in the third phase of vaccination, on May 9. The decision aims to avoid crowds at the vaccination posts.

Starting May 9, the priority groups will be children from six months to less than six, pregnant women, mothers (up to 45 days after delivery), indigenous peoples, adults from 55 to 59 years old, people with disabilities and teachers

First phase

The Federal District vaccinated 339,260 people in the first stage of the campaign, until the beginning of Monday afternoon (13). Of the total number of people in the vaccinated target audience, 261,651 are elderly, reaching 128.49% of the proposed target. Health professionals totaled 71,451, which represents 70.05% of this group.
