The schedule for the payment of the second emergency aid payment of R $ 600 comes out next week. The information was given today (1st) by the president of Caixa Econômica Federal, Pedro Guimarães, during a video conference to present the balance of the payment of the first installment.
The initial forecast was that the second batch of payments would begin to be paid last Monday (27) for those registered in the Single Registry and those registered through the program’s application and website. But the Ministry of Citizenship released a note stating that the calendar should be published in May.
According to Guimarães, the bank is still closing the details of the payments of the first installment and will close the calendar after meeting with the Minister of Citizenship, Onyx Lorenzoni, and the approval of the President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro.
Payment on different days
According to the president of Caixa, the payment of the second installment will be made on days other than the Bolsa Família payment days. The measure aims to avoid crowds in bank branches.
“The second payment will take into account everything that is happening now. In a very clear way: there is no condition to mix the Bolsa Família payment with that of digital accounts. We spent this month setting up the database, ”said Guimarães. “Next week, we will publish the second payment schedule and it will be much simpler because we already have a database of 50 million people,” he added.
To date, around 50.1 million people have been approved for help. Of this total, 19.2 million are beneficiaries of Bolsa Família; 10.5 million are registered in the Single Registry and 20.3 million are made up of informal workers, individual micro-entrepreneurs (MEI) and individual taxpayers. Another 12.4 million have an inconclusive record.
problems
During the press conference, the president of Caixa said that the payment of the first installment had problems because the bank still did not have more precise information on the profile of those who requested the benefit. Guimarães also said that a third of people did not have access to a bank account.
“All those who have already received it will receive it again and now we already know who Bolsa Família is, a unique and informal registry, the latter will receive it according to the date of birth,” he said.
Measures against crowds
Asked about the measures taken to avoid crowds, Guimarães said that the bank is acquiring more personal protective equipment for employees, such as masks (560,000), face shields (11,000) and 600,000 liters of alcohol gel. Another 3,000 security guards are also being hired to assist with queuing and 500 receptionists. Five Caixa trucks will also help with the service, especially in cities in regions with greater difficulty.
“We will have conversations with the municipalities because it is essential, we need help from the municipalities, there is no doubt about that,” he said. We will be as careful as possible when separating people, minimizing those pay days so that we do not have two payments on the same day [de benefícios] people in need, ”said Guimarães.
Agencies open tomorrow (2)
Guimarães recalled that the Caixa Econômica Federal branches will be open this Saturday (2), from 8 a.m. at 12 p.m., exclusively to answer questions from emergency aid recipients born from January to October and to pay those who, in this group, want to receive the cash credit.
According to the initial calendar reported by the bank, born in September and October, they would receive the benefit from Monday (4), but with the opening of branches, this payment will be made in advance. On May 5, it will be the turn of people who want to receive aid in kind and who will be years old in November and December.
