PSOL has tripled the number of councilors, from 2 elected in 2016 to 6 this year, and has become the third largest bank in the São Paulo City Council. The PSDB and the PT are still the parties with the most seats, with 8 councilors each, but both lost seats: in 2016, the PSDB had 11 and the PT, 9 councilors.

With 99.92% of the votes counted, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) listed on its website the distribution of seats by party in the elections for São Paulo councilor. Despite announcing the seats, the court does not list the names of the 55 elected in São Paulo.

Of the 55 councilors that make up the SP Chamber, 25 are part of the coalition of the current mayor and candidate for reelection, Bruno Covas (PSDB). The coalition of Guilherme Boulos (PSOL), his rival in the second round, will have 6 councilors in 2021.
