The 17th Criminal Court of Fortaleza turned the arrest in flagrant crime of Prime Minister Manoel Bonfim dos Santos Silva into preventive this Friday (9). The prime minister shot and killed his wife during an argument in a car on Silas Munguba Avenue, in the Serrinha neighborhood, in Fortaleza, on Thursday night (8).
According to the Ceará Court of Justice (ECJ), the decision was made during a custody hearing. Ana Rita Tabosa Soares was buried this Friday afternoon (9), in the Parque da Paz cemetery, in the Passaré neighborhood, in Fortaleza. The victim had a funeral procession remove the coffin in the cemetery.
The crime
After shooting the woman and realizing that she was dead, the military police officer started crying and screaming, saying he was sorry. The suspect even called an ambulance to help the victim, but when the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) arrived, the woman was already dead.
According to the Ceará Military Police (PMCE), the agent, to whom his identity was not revealed, is a corporal of the corporation, attached to the 19th Military Police Battalion (BPM).
After the crime, according to the PM, the policeman was arrested on the spot and transferred to the Fortaleza Women’s Police Station (DDM), where he was fined for femicide.
