The Civil Police of Santa Catarina today dismissed the coordination of the São Paulo faction PCC (First Command of the Capital) in the robbery that occurred in Criciúma last week, when around R $ 80 million were seized from two branches of Banco do Brasil. Among the prisoners is the “general” of the PCC, Márcio Geraldo Alves Ferreira, 34, the Buddha, detained in Gramado (RS).
According to delegate Anselmo Cruz, head of Deic (Robbery and Anti-Sequestration Police), what happened in Criciúma was a “partnership” of criminals with the São Paulo faction. “There is no element that indicates the coordination organized by the faction (PCC), what happened was an alliance,” said the delegate at a press conference, which was attended by Governor Carlos Moisés (PSL).
Also according to Cruz, the alliance was finalized with the provision of “labor” for the practice of crime.
During the press conference, the deputy announced the arrest of two more people for the assault. As a result, the number of detainees reaches 14. However, no details were given about these new prisons.
The commander in chief of the Military Police, Colonel Dionei Tonet, took advantage of the press conference to explain that there was no confrontation with criminals to “preserve lives.” He also said that 32-year-old Private Jeferson Luiz Esmeraldino, who was wounded, was hit by a rifle shot, which went through his bulletproof vest.
“A rifle is a weapon of war, while the commander determined the security of the perimeter, so that the population was preserved. I could not say that we are 100% in all cities, but we are recovering our capacity,” said the commander, who He also announced the changes to the profile of the vests used by the troops.
At this time, the Deic delegate added that a rifle shot “could go through a wall and hit someone”, killing innocent people.
Finally, the police announced that there is a possibility that some of the criminals remained on a property in the center of Criciúma for months until the assault. However, the apartment has not yet been identified and, therefore, the police request the collaboration of the population if they noticed the strange movement of people days before the crime.
