Fabíola, only 4 years old, was found in the early hours of Sunday (20), in Florianópolis; was kidnapped on Friday night (18)
The anguish caused by the kidnapping of the Fabíola girl came to an end. The case, which caused a commotion in the Greater Florianópolis region, had a successful outcome in the early hours of Sunday (20), when the boy was located by the Civil Police.

According to the Civil Police, the girl is well and was found in the north of Santa Catarina Island. I was with a couple, who was arrested.
The police contacted the boy’s mother to recognize the perpetrators. The rescuers also informed him that the girl had been located and sent to Dpcami de Palhoça.
More details of the case were released during a press conference Sunday morning at the headquarters of the General Police Station in Florianópolis.
Place of captivity
During the press conference, the security forces responsible for the case said that this morning the Civil Police received more specific information on the whereabouts of the minor.
Later, agents from Dpcami (Police Station for the Protection of Children, Adolescents, Women and the Elderly) from Palhoça and civil police from Florianópolis, went to the reported location.
At first, the police were struck by the presence of a vehicle with the same characteristics of the car that was used in the Fabíola kidnapping.
The first information transmitted by the girl’s neighbors showed that the suspicious couple had approached her house in a white goal.
In response, the agents entered the two-story house and located the minor and the perpetrators of the crime.
Resistance
According to the delegate Fábio Pereira, from Dpcami de Palhoça, the man was found on the ground floor of the house. He tried to resist the police action with violence and had to be immobilized.
“They asked him if there was anyone else in the house and first he said he was alone. Then they insisted and he said he was with his wife. In a third moment, he said that there was ‘a girl that they were taking care of,’ ”the delegate reported.
Police then went to the upper floor of the house and placed the boy in a room on the woman’s lap. “She did not release the child in any way. The order was given to him to leave the child and he did not respond, ”Pereira said.
Despite the initial resistance, the officers managed to take the boy away and contain the perpetrators. The couple was arrested on the spot and fined for qualified kidnapping, given that the victim is under 18 years of age. They were sent to Dpcami de Palhoça, where they gave testimony.
According to police, the girl was found scared and “it was clear that she did not want to stay with the couple.” After the rescue, he would have shown moments of joy with the police. “I even said we were his superheroes.”
“Ghoulish Toys”
During the press conference, the Civil Police officers who participated in the action reported that in the house where the girl was in captivity, the situation was a “general disorder”, without housing conditions.
At the site, animal feces were mixed with children’s clothing, as well as macabre toys and painted dolls.
Survey yet to be completed
The Civil Police have 10 days to complete the investigation of the case. No information was released about the motive for the kidnapping and details about the perpetrators. According to the police, the initial priority was to locate the boy.
However, the police anticipated that the couple hails from the state of Rio Grande do Sul, but has lived in Florianópolis for years. The ages of the perpetrators were not disclosed, but police said the couple is young and reportedly approached the victim’s home in mid-December.
