Police from the Consumer Commissary (Decon-RJ) banned, on Thursday (8), a factory in the North Zone of Rio where they were produced cosmetics clandestinely.
According to investigations, the owner of the establishment used printer inks such as enamel stain. He was arrested in flagrante delicto and will respond for counterfeiting and adulteration of products. The penalty for crimes can add 15 years in prison.
The warehouse operated on the ground floor of a residential building in Penha. Agents found 20 employees working without any jobs or personal protective equipment.
According to the police, the labels used on the products were from Chinese brands.
“The factory did not have any type of Sanitary Surveillance authorization. The owner used 70 alcohol and ink from printers, ”said delegate André Neves. The material was resold in much of Rio de Janeiro.
The owner of the cosmetics factory said he will only speak in court.
