The PMs fight in the center of SP; police pointed a gun at the face of a colleague – 04/12/2020

Two military police officers on duty today staged a public fight in front of pedestrians in downtown São Paulo. One prime minister even pointed the corporation’s gun at the uniform guy’s face. None was injured.

The disagreement occurred at the corner of Timbiras and Santa Ifigênia streets. The place is one of the main points of the São Paulo capital for the commerce of popular technology. The place was packed at the time of the fight.

Earlier today, dozens of videos made by passersby captured the fight. As one of the PMs pointed the gun at his colleague, people shouted: “Kill him”, “Go for him!” and “shoot him in the ass!”

At one point, the police officer with the gun to his face tries to disarm his colleague in uniform. At that moment, the people watching the fight walk away scared and the recordings shake or stop happening.

According to the internal record of the occurrence, obtained by TwitterSoldier Felipe do Nascimento, stationed in the 2nd Company of the 13th Battalion, who had gone out for lunch, was slow to return.

Upon his return, Corporal Márcio Simão de Oliveira Matias, stationed in the 3rd Company of the 7th Battalion, who was at the post, received the delay and said that he would report to the sergeant, since he would no longer be able to have lunch.

At that moment, according to the file, Private Nascimento drew his weapon for Corporal Simão and began to threaten him. All the PMs went to the 7th Battalion headquarters after the incident. The occurrence was internally recorded as “lack of intelligence among intensified MPs.”

The Military Police reported that the PMs who appear in the images were “identified and immediately removed from service.” The corporation also said that the “Local Police Command is taking the appropriate measures in relation to the events.”
