Two military policemen were arrested in preventive custody for shooting and killing two young men in Belford Roxo, in Baixada Fluminense, after a police approach. The arrest took place after the Department of Internal Affairs introduced the PMs. The information is from the newspaper Extra.

In a custody hearing, Judge Rafael de Almeida Rezende transformed the flagrant into preventive detention, highlighting that, although the images show the young men handcuffed, “this fact was not registered in any police station, nor was it referred to another body, with the police left the respective duty without reporting anything to their superiors ”.
Although, in testimony, police denied the shooting, forensics found what appears to be blood on the floor of the scene, as well as on the car’s carpets. In addition, the security camera images show a flash similar to the firing of a firearm.
“There are strong indications that the guards, to cover up a failed police approach, ended the lives of the victims to hide their past behaviors, making it clear that preventive detention is necessary to guarantee public order,” he says. Judge.

In testimonies to the Homicide Police, the PMs denied having fired. In the version presented, they approached the white car “with a suspicious attitude considering the time and place where the vehicle was parked” when the motorcycle passed.

One of the victims, the young Edson Arguinez Júnior, 20, had already bought a gift certificate to prepare for Christmas. Also according to the newspaper Extra, the boy’s plans were interrupted, as he was waiting for the end of the pandemic to resume his studies in the second year of high school and prepare for an accounting training.
Jordan Luiz Natividade intended to enlist early, at the age of 18, and fulfill his grandmother’s dream by pursuing a military career. The bodies of the two were found at a Fish and Pay in the Babi neighborhood of Belford Roxo. Two policemen were detained in preventive custody in connection with the case.

Jordan’s uncle Ronan told Extra that his nephew had gone to a barbecue with friends and did not return. The search began in the morning, when he received messages asking about the boy.
Upon being informed of a police approach, the family went to the scene, where they only found Edson’s coat. But one detail did not go unnoticed: the existence of security cameras.
Once in possession of the images, a pilgrimage began through police stations, which ended this Sunday afternoon, with the appointment in a post on social networks: two bodies had been found in another neighborhood. Ronan arrived in the area even before the police, and recognized Jordan, naked, with three marks of shots.
“He was a boy who only had size, without malice. His life was playing soccer in Brizolão, with friends. It was there that the friendship with Edson was born, ”his uncle informed Extra.
The videos presented to the police show the two being approached by military police in São Bernardo, also in the municipality of Baixada Fluminense, in the early hours of Friday to Saturday (12). They followed him on a motorcycle, when a flash appears, similar to that of a gunshot. The two fall, then are searched, handcuffed, and driven to the vehicle. The elderly caregiver Renata de Oliveira, Edson’s mother, was working Saturday afternoon when she received a phone call with the news that her son had been murdered. He first went through the 54th DP (Belford Roxo) looking for information, but the bodies had not yet been found. It was then that she met Jordan’s mother, Alexsandra Santana. When he filed the complaint at the 39th BPM, he received a call confirming the double homicide.
“I want to know why. Why did they do this cowardice?” Asks Renata, Edson’s mother.
He was the oldest and left three siblings. According to the mother, the child had a protective posture with the little ones, he was cheerful, fair and playful. Jordan was also the oldest and leaves behind a ten year old sister. The two will be buried this Monday.
According to the press officer of the Military Police, as soon as the command of the corporation learned of the facts, “all the pertinent measures were taken immediately.” The two policemen mentioned in the action were identified and heard by Commissariat III of the Military Judicial Police (DPJM).
