Three families lost everything in one fire on friday night, day 1, in the Avenida Central district, in Gramado. According to a resident, the fire started, around 7 pm, on an outlet repellent. The device to kill mosquitoes would have short-circuited and caused the first flares in the wooden house. The fire acquired great proportions and reached two other houses on Rua Parobé Linha Nova.
According to the Military Brigade, an inhabitant of one of the houses has slight injuries to his hands and feet. He managed to get the car out of the garage. All other personal belongings of the families were lost.
The Fire Department worked for about four hours to contain the fire and managed to prevent the flames from reaching a neighboring building. The Gramado and Canela herds were activated to attend to the event. With the heat of the flames, the windows of the building broke and the neighbors had to leave several apartments.
