The PCdoB of Recife (PE) published a note of support, this Wednesday 18, to the candidate João Campos, of the PSB, to the Prefecture of the capital of Pernambuco. Campos faces Marília Arraes, of the PT, in the second round of the elections.
The party highlighted the option for the candidacy of Campos for the construction of the so-called Popular Front in the city, which has parties from the left, center and right. They are PCdoB, MDB, PSD, Rede, PV, PROS, Avante, Republicans, PP, Solidariedade and PDT.
Despite the presence of right-wing parties in the coalition, the PCdoB said that “right-wing forces” would support Arraes’s candidacy. “Now in the second round of the elections, the right-wing forces that represent Bolsonarism in Pernambuco decide to support the opposition candidate of the Popular Front,” the party’s note says.
