The SES bulletin reveals that the last 20 deaths from the new coronavirus in Maranhão were registered in six Maranhão municipalities: the state’s capital and largest city, São Luís had 14 deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. The municipalities of Imperatriz (2), São José de Ribamar (1), Raposa (1), Santa Luzia (1) and Conceição do Lago Açu (1) also had coronavirus victims during this period.

According to the SES report, the number of patients cured of the new coronavirus in Maranhão increased to 1,742, and 145 people infected with Covid-19 were discharged in the last 24 hours. These people confirmed their recovery and were released according to instructions from the Ministry of Health, since they spent 14 isolated days, counting from the date of onset of symptoms, and remain asymptomatic.

The list of patients infected with the new coronavirus in Maranhão was also updated in the SES bulletin. Among the 8,144 confirmed cases, there are 399 deaths, 304 ICU admissions (230 in the public network and 74 in the private network), 675 hospital admissions, 1,742 recovered patients and 5,024 people in home isolation. Patients with positive results for Covid-19 are being monitored by teams from the Strategic Information Center for Health Surveillance (CIEVS).
Since monitoring began in Maranhão, SES has analyzed 21,934 cases of possible infection with the new coronavirus and has carried out 16,512 diagnostic tests. There are 8,144 confirmed cases, with 399 deaths and 1,742 recoveries, 5,646 suspected cases and 8,144 cases discarded.
