Maranhão has 176 municipalities with confirmed cases of the new coronavirus.
The SES report indicates that the last 26 deaths from the new coronavirus in Maranhão occurred in nine municipalities. The capital, São Luís, had 17 deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, while Brejo registered two victims of the pandemic in just one day. The cities of Raposa, Buritirana, Morros, Pedreiras, Timón, Paço do Lumiar and Lago da Pedra also confirmed the death of patients infected with the coronavirus during this period.

São Luís (5,375), Imperatriz (574), São José de Ribamar (447), Chapadinha (257) and Paço do Lumiar (222) are the five municipalities of Maranhão with the highest number of coronavirus cases.

These people confirmed their recovery and were released according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health, since they spent 14 isolated days, counting from the date of onset of symptoms, and remain asymptomatic.

The SES bulletin also updated the list of patients infected with the new coronavirus in Maranhão. Among the 10,739 confirmed cases, there are 496 deaths, 355 hospitalizations in the ICU (279 in the public network and 76 in the private network), 825 hospitalizations in the ward, 2,591 recovered patients and 6,472 people in home isolation. Patients with positive results for Covid-19 are being monitored by teams from the Strategic Information Center for Health Surveillance (CIEVS).

There are 10,739 confirmed cases, with 496 deaths and 2,591 recoveries, 5,075 suspected cases and 10,097 cases discarded. The methodology of the Ministry of Health counts deaths and cured patients among the confirmed cases in Covid-19.
People who show symptoms of the new coronavirus in São Luís can go to the Diamond Polyclinic Testing Center and to the Emergency Care Units (UPA) of Vinhais, Itaqui-Bacanga, Cidade Operária and Araçagy. Public health and safety professionals are being attended exclusively at Viva da Beira-Mar. For the population of the interior of Maranhão, regional hospitals continue to collect for exams.
